I was well into my 30s before I found out that a  good Rice Pudding recipe can be delicious.  I have tried many of them over the years, and I have to say this is my favorite.  I hope you think so too.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare<\/strong>\t25 minutes<br \/>\n<strong>Cook<\/strong>\t20 minutes<br \/>\n<strong>Serve<\/strong>\t45 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>\n\u2022\t3\/4 cup uncooked white rice<br \/>\n\u2022\t2 cups milk, divided<br \/>\n\u2022\t1\/3 cup white sugar<br \/>\n\u2022\t1\/4 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n\u2022\t1 egg, beaten<br \/>\n\u2022\t2\/3 cup golden raisins<br \/>\n\u2022\t1 tablespoon butter<br \/>\n\u2022\t1\/2 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/p>\n<p>Directions<br \/>\n1.\tIn a medium saucepan, bring 1 1\/2 cups water to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. <\/p>\n<p>2.\tIn another saucepan, combine 1 1\/2 cups cooked rice, 1 1\/2 cups milk, sugar and salt. Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in remaining 1\/2 cup milk, beaten egg and raisins. Cook 2 minutes more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and stir in butter and vanilla.
