{"id":444,"date":"2011-06-30T18:13:13","date_gmt":"2011-06-30T18:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chefsjoy.com\/blog\/?p=444"},"modified":"2011-06-30T18:14:10","modified_gmt":"2011-06-30T18:14:10","slug":"corn-on-the-cob-with-a-twist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chefsjoy.com\/blog\/recipes\/corn-on-the-cob-with-a-twist","title":{"rendered":"Corn on the Cob with a twist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chefsjoy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/corn-on-the-cob.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-445\" title=\"corn on the cob\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chefsjoy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/corn-on-the-cob-300x207.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"207\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chefsjoy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/corn-on-the-cob-300x207.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.chefsjoy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/corn-on-the-cob.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We love corn on the cob.\u00a0When I bring home corn, I usually get a lot of ears and then cook it multiple times during the week.\u00a0 If you love fresh corn during the summer, but want to give it a little extra zing, try this method.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6 ears of corn in the husk<\/p>\n<p>6 tbsp unsalted butter<\/p>\n<p>18 sprigs of thyme, if you have some lemon thyme it is even better<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Peel the corn husk leaving them attached at base. Remove and discard the corn silk. Spread a tablespoon of butter over each cob, then lay 3 thyme sprigs against each cob, pressing them gently into the butter. Pull husks back up over corn. Remove 1-2 pieces of husk and tear into 6 strips.. Tie the top of each husk closed with a strip and let the corn stand for at least an hour.
